Dressage competitor injured
Equestrian competitor injured. A Canadian rider was hospitalized Sunday after she fell while practicing for a dressage competition in Wellington. Simone Williams of Ontario fell at the Palm Beach Equestrian Club, said Mason Phelps, club spokesman. Williams, who is in her 30s, was preparing to compete at the Winter Equestrian Festival.
"She was on a young horse that just lost it in the warm-up situation," said Shannon Dueck, who attended the festival Sunday and has competed with Williams. Luckily, she was wearing a hard hat, Dueck said. "She always does.
