Learning how to run Equestrian Games

100 KENTUCKIANS GOING TO THIS YEAR'S EVENT IN GERMANY
The FEI World Equestrian Games 2006 begin Sunday, and more than 500,000 people are expected to pour into Aachen, Germany, before the competition ends Sept. 3. About 100 of them will be official visitors from Kentucky whose mission will be to learn how to put on the next world games: the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games at the Kentucky Horse Park in 2010."There is only one World Equestrian Games every four years, so it's not like we can send some (park staffers) this year and some next year and like that," said John Nicholson, the Horse Park's executive director."There is no next year," echoed Commerce Cabinet spokesman Chris Gilligan. "There is no tomorrow. We are tomorrow."
