FEI TASK FORCE ON MEDICATION AND DOPING
The FEI Task Force on Medication and Doping Chaired by Mr Sven Holmberg (SWE) held it second meeting in Paris on 2 February. The Task Force began by reviewing the many meeting that had taken place with members and various interested parties such as the International Jumping Riders Club, FEI Groups I and II and the Swedish Trotting Association. The task force heard submissions from Dr Andrew Higgins (GBR) Chairman of the FEI Medication Sub Committee and Dr Yves Bonnaire (FRA) Director of the FEI Central Lab on the current procedures for medication control and future possibilities, including the establishment of withdrawal times for a specific group of Equine Medications.

Horse bites man; man files suit against owners
An Augusta man who stopped by a roadside pasture to feed carrots to a stallion is suing two Palermo stable owners because the horse bit off part of his ear. Paul Knickle claims Dusty and Pamela Haskell should have known their stallion was dangerous and kept him away from a public road, according to a lawsuit filed on Knickle's behalf in Kennebec County Superior Court.

Wellington Dressage- Four Days of Dressage's Finest

Wellington Dressage, the first of the three major dressage shows at the Winter Equestrian Festival, drew to a close today with the musical freestyle competitions and a special awards ceremony hosted in the Internationale Arena. Leading the musical freestyle winners, was show super star, Ashley Holzer. Holzer won the $2000 FEI Grand Prix Freestyle aboard her dynamic Dutch stallion, Imperioso with a score of 71.583% ...
